00:19:2621-Year-old rickey fowler entered the third r round as a three-stroke leader.
00:19:31Only has a o one-stroke lead on rickey barnes.
00:19:35Through 16 holes.
00:19:36Tiger woods, four birdies, one double bogie today.
00:19:39Phil mickelson, three birds and two bogies.
00:19:46>> Inside, oh, blocked by bryant.
00:19:50Kobe bryant turns I it away.
00:19:52There is the three.
00:19:53Lakers take game 1 1.
00:19:55>> We'll t take game 1 1.
00:19:56Now game 2 2, w we w want game 2 2.
00:20:00>> The agressive t tone in game 1 1 surprised no one within the confines of the lakers locker room.
00:20:07They've been breathing it for several days.
00:20:10's video c coordinators inserted an inspirational speech from the w war movie "patton" I into a film session.
00:20:18In it, we're going to keep fighting.
00:20:21Is that clear.
00:20:21We're going to attack all night.
00:20:23We're going t to attack t tomorrow morning.
00:20:25The lakers were c certainly in full attack mode.
00:20:27Now the c celtics still want t to retreat back t to boston down 0-2.
00:20:33Hanna storm and j jalen rose from the staples c center now.
00:20:36>> Welcome t to los angeles staples c center.
00:20:40Site o of game 2 of t the nba f finals tomorrow night.
00:20:42As the celtics look to e even the series with the defending champion l.a. lakers.
00:20:48After game 1 I in w which the lakers came out focused, and t the celtics c came out flat.
00:20:53>> Hi everybody, hanna storm along w with jalen r rose.
00:20:56We are o outside staples c center because max l lowell and j jill scott are getting r ready to do their thing tonight.
00:21:04>> >> I want to go to t the c concert.
00:21:05>> I want t to see t the game.
00:21:07>> C celtics got a big tune-up in their yesterday film session.
00:21:11After t that, kevin garnett said he didn't e even repeat what doc rivers had to say at that t time.
00:21:16Meanwhile lot of f folks are repeating what pau gasol had to say about kg I in game 1.
00:21:22>> K kevin's part, he's also lost some e explosiveness.
00:21:27He's more of a jump shooter now you could say.
00:21:29Most o of his stuff comes o off t the lane.
00:21:33Before he had a a r really, r really quick first step and was getting into the lane and, you know, he was more agressive.
00:21:41Time passes and w we all suffer I it one way o or another.
00:21:44>> W when told about gasol's comments, kg said I have no comment for his comments.
00:21:49That w was his q quote.
00:21:51Nonetheless, does gasol have a point?
00:21:53>> He has a sleight point if you look at the numbers.
00:21:56In 2008 when these two t teams played against each other, pau gasol was 15 points, t ten rebounds.
00:22:02Within game 1, 23 points, 14 rebounds.
00:22:072008, Kg, 18 points, 13 rebounds.
00:22:10Game 1, 1 16-4.
00:22:11If you f foul, you don't w want to wake a sleeping giant.
00:22:14Kg's intense.
00:22:15He will be f focused.
00:22:16You will get the best kevin garnett in game 2 2.
00:22:19>> He only had one rebound in the first three quarters of the game.
00:22:23Nobody expects that.
00:22:24But what can t the c celtics do t to get kg more involved in the flow of the offense?
00:22:28>> You're going t to see a lot more post-up.
00:22:31They're going to make sure w when kevin garnett I is on the block, they'll give him t the basketball.
00:22:35He will be agressive, trying to get to the paint and use his first step that pau gasol says he doesn't have anymore.
00:22:41He's going to play with passion, discipline and f focus.
00:22:43Expect him to have a big time game or at l least try to be agressive.
00:22:48>> Another match-up t that everyone has their e eyes on is ron artest and paul pierce.
00:22:52They've seen e each other throughout the years.
00:22:54Not as much since artest went to the western c conference.
00:22:58But he in talking to him after the game, even t though he had a great night on f februarysively, was not r really happy with his defensive effort on pierce.
00:23:05He is so focused and gives kobe all the credit.
00:23:08>> K kobe's always f focused o on t the game.
00:23:12I'm pretty focused myself.
00:23:14I see guys not focused and I get pretty irritated f fast.
00:23:19But kobe, he doesn't even necessarily get irritated.
00:23:23He's just f focused o on f facts, focused o on t the game.
00:23:35Definitely.
00:23:36To make big shots every game.
00:23:37I never played with a guy -- i played with a guy t that got some money like kobe.
00:23:42They w were franchise players and rich l like kobe.
00:23:45But I i didn't play with a lot of guys who actually made the shot.
00:23:52It's unbelievable.
00:23:53>> A artest 1 15 points I in game 1.
00:23:553 O of 5 from t three-point r range.
00:23:57Has a tendency t to dial in when he has a big time o opponent to defend.
00:24:04What do the lakers need f from him?
00:24:06>> He has a duel r responsibility.
00:24:08Last two games he's played in the playoffs, t that's 40 points.
00:24:11Averaging 20.
00:24:127 F for 1 12, he's playing within himself.
00:24:17I saw him after practice, he's talking about playing championship level basketball.
00:24:21This is the first time he's played on a high level l like this.
00:24:24When you're playing f for phil jackson with kobe bryant there is a standard of e excellence, and he's l learned to play today.
00:24:32>> He's learned if you pull pierce's shorts down it doesn't work.
00:24:37>> Remember t that in 2004?
00:24:39But artest w will do whatever he can tomorrow night as t the celtics will do whatever they have t to t to e even up this series.
00:24:46Game 2 2 sunday night o on abc.
00:24:48Our coverage begins as the celtics look to reclaim their brand of basketball.
00:24:52It will be tough and physical, and the l lakers know what's coming.
00:24:55For jalen r rose, I'm hanna storm, saying so long f for now f from los angeles.
00:25:02>> Remember, espnews I is t the place to be f for all your postgame pressers.

00:25:5931St minute.
00:26:00That's the way you use your nogin'.
00:26:04Usa takes a 2-1 lead now.
